To determine your nail size, we recommend using our sizing kit for ease and accuracy. However, you can also follow the instructions on our Sizing Guide to measure your nails in millimeters using sticky tape and a ruler. We use Après GelX nail tips, so if you are already familiar with your GelX sizes, you can use them as well!
We offer several standardized size sets, but if your nails don't match up with those, please choose the "Custom" option and list your sizes in the instruction box at checkout.
Our standard sizes:

FAQ About Minty Choco Nails
I just got my nails! Now how do I put them on?
Minty Choco nails can be applied with either a nail glue of your choice or nano-tape sticky tabs. All nail orders come with an application pack that includes a tube of basic nail glue, a set of sticky tabs, and items for nail prep like a file, buffer, and alcohol wipe. Detailed step by step instructions are also included, or can be found under the "About Us" section of the menu.
Can I use UV gel glue to attach my nails?
No, please don't! As they are pre-painted and adorned with decorations, Minty Choco nails are too opaque for a UV or LED lamp to properly cure gel glue underneath. Uncured gel can possibly lead to skin reactions and allergies, so it's best not to risk it. If you are looking for a glue that is easier to work with than a basic liquid, there are semi-solid nail glues available that don't require UV curing. Even with non-gel glue products, it's always a good idea to avoid skin contact as much as possible!
How do I remove them once they're on?
Our recommended removal method is to soak your nails in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of dish soap and olive oil or cuticle oil. It may take a little time, but as your natural nail softens you'll be able to gently pry the the edges of the press-on up using an orange stick (a plastic one is included in your application kit). As the edges come up, the moisture will penetrate further, allowing you to take off the full press-on. Once off and your nails have dried (very important to avoid damage!) you can use the provided buffer block to sand off any glue residue. Also buff away the residue on your Minty Choco nails, and store them back in their case for another use later!
Will the nails I receive look identical to the picture on your website?
I strive to make every set as true to the original as possible, but due to the nature of hand-crafted items, there are bound to be slight variations in details. This is what makes your Minty Choco nails one of a kind vs the machine-stamped nails you see on Amazon!
Product availability (discontinuation of polish colors, charms, etc.) can sometimes influence the outcome of a nail set as well. If there is a hiccup that will cause a set to be significantly different than is represented on the site, I will reach out before the order is started to confirm that you are OK with the change.
How do I know what size to order?
Everyone's natural nails are incredibly unique, so Minty Choco nails are made to order to ensure you get the right fit. We use Après Gel X tips as the base for our designs, so if you already know your Gel X sizes you can input them in the custom size field. If you are unsure of what size nails you need, we offer a sizing kit that includes a credit for when you order your first set. This is the most accurate way to find your size. Alternatively, you can find instructions on how to measure your nails using cello tape and a ruler under the "About Us" section in the menu. Finally, we do offer sets in pre-set standardized sizes (XS-XL). Please note that this may not ensure an exact fit for every nail, but may be a good alternative for gift giving, or if you are short on time and can't wait for the back and forth of a sizing kit.
What if I get my nails and they don't fit?
Because Minty Choco nails are custom made, and also for hygienic reasons, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for nails unless there was a sizing error on Minty Choco's part. That said, we do have an option to purchase a single nail replacement if you would like to re-order something in a more appropriate size. Feel free to email me so that we can discuss options!
Why are your nails so expensive? I can get press-ons from Temu for $5!
Minty Choco nails are each hand painted and decorated - essentially, they are tiny custom works of art you can wear on your fingertips! A lot of time and care goes into each individual nail. We also use high quality products such as Après GelX tips and Korean nail gels that cost a bit more, but ensure our nails are extremely durable, and even reusable if cared for properly! Think of it this way: if you sat in a salon for hours having a tech decorate your nails in detail, you'd likely shell out a few hundred dollars for nails that would just get soaked or filed off in a few weeks, losing the art in the process. In that sense, our reusable nails are a great value!
As for press-ons from Amazon, Walgreens, Temu, Shein...they are typically machine printed on thin, low quality tips that will bend and flex on removal, making them unusable a second time. Trust me, I started buying press-ons from Walmart decades ago before learning to do my own Gel X. Yes, they can look nice initially, but the prints will wear off and they won't last.
